Martin Goga is freelance dancer and well known choreographer and dance teacher. Martin is devoted to musical dance and contemporary dance. His most recent choreography credits include choreography for famous Broadway musical Funny Girl, very famous opera Orphee in the Underworld , Crime musical Phantom of London or very famous musical comedy by Dan Goggin Nunsense. He works with actors very often (movement coordinator) He collaborate with well known Slovak dance group Bobalet dance company and he made for them several choreographies.
He is a contemporary dance teacher in the biggest contemporary dance studio in Prague Contemporary place to dance. He also works with students and he did several contemporary dance workshops for dance conservatories in Czech and Slovak republic. Based on his rich experience the students love to work with him for his passion to dance.
As a dancer he performed in the most famous Czech musical productions including musicals The Three Musketeers, Adela Has Not Had Dinner Yet, We Have To Kill David and in the Theatre Hybernie in the most successful original Czech musical Dracula. He worked with almost every famous choreographer in Czech and Slovak republic.
In June 2009 he performed the role of Golem in The National Theater in the world premier of kabbalistic drama Golem 13 by George Whyte and Noam Sherrif under Julia Pevzner. He was also performing in the in The National Theater in Prague in opera Miracles of Mary by Bohuslav Martinu and Idomeneo by W.A.Mozart under Yoshi Oida. Of commercial work we have to mention the cooperation with Czech pop singers Verona and Thomas Puskajler or french pop star Mylene Farmer.
He studied classical dance at dance conservatory in Slovakia and he has performed in numerous productions, including Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Requiem, Gissele, Special Joy to Live II. atc. After competing his studies he joined the Prague theater Milenium, where he danced in the musical Cats by Andrew Lloyd Weber. He spent short time in London and New York, attending street dance, jazz and contemporary dance workshops. Martin was born in Bardejov in Slovakia.
